The Chas. C. Hart Seed Company was founded in 1892 in Wethersfield, Conn. Today the company is owned and operated by fourth and fifth generation members of the Hart family, and their offices stand in the same location on Main Street where they've been for over 100 years.
For their Heritage Collection, the Hart family dug deep into their own gardening heritage and seed experience to choose the most flavorful heirloom vegetables and flowers to reintroduce to today’s gardeners. Each package, including the historical color lithograph artwork, is an accurate reproduction of Hart’s original seed packages from the turn of the century.
