Brown Duck Cloth Drawstring Bag
This is an old duck cloth bag, similar in shape and construction to a classic sailor's "ditty" bag. It is constructed from a narrow-loom, selvedge, cotton duck cloth that is highly similar to the fabric used on the original Levi's 501 trousers from the late 1870s, with its distinctive orange-brown color and black lines positioned about an inch in from the selvedge. A heavy white chainstitch binds the hem at the mouth of the bag, and the drawstring is a thick, stiff cotton rope.
