Type 350 "Kafka" T-Shirt

- Loopwheeled interlock fabric knitted in Leicester, England
- Ecru (unbleached) natural cotton shows specks of cotton seed, and will fade slightly lighter over time
- Cut and sewn by hand in Leicester
- One-piece cutting pattern; there is no shoulder seam, which is the point of highest stress on the shirt and most discomfort on the wearer
- Durable, flatlock-stitched construction
- 100% cotton rib cuffs are not elasticized. Instead, they're slightly smaller than the sleeve and waist openings
- Although it takes more skill to gather and sew the shirt fabric into the smaller cuff, pure cotton cuffs won't loosen over time
- Screenprinted by hand in Leicester, England using water-based inks
- Commissioned illustration by the British/Czech artist Dorrit Dekk (b.1917), who worked for the Central Office of Information from 1946-48, producing many now-classic posters
- Dorrit's ink-and-brush painting is her interpretation of "An Animal Imagined by Kafka" from Jorge Luis Borges' "Book Of Imaginary Beings":

"It is the animal with the big tail, a tail many yards long and like a fox’s brush. . . The animal resembles a kangaroo, but not as to the face, which is flat almost like a human face, and small and oval; only its teeth have any power of expression, whether they are concealed or bared."
