"Color No. 8" Horween Horsehide Chromexcel Bi-Fold Wallet, Hickoree's Exclusive
This wallet is made from horsehide Chromexcel leather, which is produced at Chicago's famous Horween tannery. Horsehide Chromexcel is made from the front quarters of adult horses and requires a laborious 89 processes over 28 working days to complete the tanning process.
Hand-crafted up the road from us in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, this wallet is ingeniously constructed from a single piece of leather, folded and glued together. The unique pattern evolved from a deconstructed and modified 1940s design.
- The words "HANDMADE / BROOKLYN, NY" and "MAXX & UNICORN CO" are embossed using a vintage hot-stamping machine
- Horween's original Color No. 8, most famous for its use in shell cordovan, is used here in front quarter horsehide Chromexcel
