- Woad is a plant that has been cultivated in Britain since ancient times; it contains the same dyeing agent as indigo plants but in lower concentrations. Woad dyeing became nearly defunct once indigo was imported to Europe.
- T-shirt shrinks during the dip-dyeing process; expect minimal shrinkage
